For a respectful and smooth procedure, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Both parties should arrive at the Islamic Center at the scheduled time, dressed modestly in line with Islamic customs.
- Ensure that all required documentation for the divorce, including the marriage contract (Nikah), is available.
- Any discussions or disagreements should be held with the utmost respect and decorum. Maintain a calm and patient demeanor at all times.
- Both parties must have a clear understanding of their rights and responsibilities according to Islamic law. If there are any uncertainties, please consult with the Imam before the proceedings.
- The presence of two witnesses is required. They should be of sound mind and mature age.
- If children are involved, prior discussions concerning their welfare and custody arrangements should have been conducted.
- Mobile phones or other electronic devices should be turned off or on silent mode to maintain the serenity of the proceedings.
- After the divorce proceeding, respect the privacy and feelings of all involved. It is a time of personal transition that requires understanding and patience.
We appreciate your adherence to these guidelines. Our Islamic Center is committed to providing support and guidance during this process. May Allah grant you strength and wisdom during this time of change.
